What cookies we set
If Walls Could Talk uses only strictly-necessary cookies. Specifically:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token | Supabase (our auth provider) | Keeps you signed in between page loads. | Session, refreshed while you are active. Cleared on sign-out. |
iwct.cookie-notice-dismissed | If Walls Could Talk | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice so it does not reappear on every visit. | 1 year. |
We do not set any other cookies and we do not run third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. There are no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or similar trackers on the Platform.
Why we do not ask for cookie consent
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), strictly-necessary cookies (those required for the service to function, such as authentication session cookies) are exempt from consent requirements. Because we run no other cookies, we do not display a consent banner. We do still display an information notice on first visit so you know what we set and why.
If we ever introduce analytics or tracking cookies, we will deploy a PECR-compliant consent mechanism first, and this page will be updated. [TODO: solicitor - confirm cookie posture and banner triggers if analytics are added before launch]
How to clear or block our cookies
You can clear or block cookies using your browser settings. Useful guides:
Clearing the auth session cookie will sign you out. Clearing the dismissed-notice cookie means the notice will appear again on your next visit.
